A statistic by the prefecture reveals that members of a family account for a half of population infected by one infected individual.
Viral infection cases are likely to increase in the coming cold and dry season as viruses become more active in such environment.
Please continue to practice the following infection prevention measures at home.
〇 Prepare meals in small separate plates to each member.
〇 Ventilate a room every half an hour.
〇 Use separate hand-towels after hand-wash.
〇 Frequently disinfect fomites such as switches of electric appliances, water taps, door knobs, etc.
〇 Keep toothbrushes away from each other.
〇 Check body temperature every day and try to stay healthy.
〇 Avoid close contact with family members when having symptoms of a cold.
Please be extra cautious when the elderly or people with underlying illness are around as they are likely to get seriously ill when infected.
