City Opens COVID-19 Consultation Window

This consultation window works as a hub to connect those in need of economic or livelihood support or vaccination against COVID-19, etc., with responsible points of contact.
After listening to your specific need, you will be referred to the responsible institutions or will be directed to the appropriate window for application in the city hall.

Launch of Fall National Traffic Safety Campaign

Let’s follow traffic rules and practice proper traffic manners to prevent traffic accidents.

Campaign period: Sep. 21 (Tue)-30 (Thu)

Objectives:
〇 Secure safety of pedestrians including especially children and the elderly.
〇 Prevent accidents at dusk and night and promote awareness of safe driving including protection of pedestrians, etc.
〇 Secure safety of bicyclists and follow traffic rules to the letter.
〇 Eradicate malicious and reckless driving including DWI.

Japan-US Exchange Event- “Rice Harvesting”

Date/Time: Oct. 9 (Sat),  10:00-13:30

Meeting place: Tenno Elementary School

Capacity: 20 people (FCFS)
※ Preschoolers need parental attendance.

Content: Rice harvesting experience and lunch

Fee: 500yen (5 y.o.+)

What to bring: Towel, drink, hat, boots, cotton gloves, change of clothes

Japan-US Friendly Relay Marathon 2021 in Iwakuni

5+ member teams participate in competitive 3hr relay marathon.

Date/Time: Dec.5 (Sun),   09:30-12:30

Place: Atago Sports Complex (55 Field’s 1.4km running course)

Capacity: 150 teams (of 5-15 members, FCFS)

150th anniversary of inauguration of Iwakuni British English Language School- Frontier of English Education-Iwakuni British English Language School

Content: Introduction of Stevence, a British man who taught English for two years after inauguration of Iwakuni British English Language School, and his fellow students.
