Vehicular Traffic Restrictions at Mikasabashi Bridge

Period: Aug.16 (Mon)-Oct.29 (Fri) (tentative), 23:00-05:00
※ No traffic restrictions on Sat., Sun. and national holidays.

Content:
Mikasabashi bridge is closed for vehicular traffic from 23:00-05:00 due to repair work. Pedestrians and bicyclists can use the bridge as usual.
※ Date/time of restrictions may change due to adverse weather. Change(s) will be notified by a signboard, etc.

Watch Out for Water Accidents

Please pay attention to the followings for prevention of tragic water accidents.

○ Playing in the water by children only is very dangerous. Guardians must accompany them to a pool or swimming area, etc.
○ When playing in the water, be sure to have a life jacket on.
○ Don’t get close to swollen rivers or ponds.
○ When seeing someone drowning in water, yell and let the people around know about it and call 110 (Police) or 119 (Fire Dept.) immediately.

Who’s eligible: Those who can’t afford to buy sanitary items due to financial problems.

Full Color Illuminations of Kintaikyo Bridge

The Kintaikyo Bridge will be lit up as follows.

Admission fees for facilities including Kintaikyo Bridge will be free to elementary school kids

During the month of August, admission fees to six facilities including Kintaikyo Bridge will be free.

Kintaikyo Bridge, Iwakuni Castle, Iwakuni Castle Ropeway, White Snake Museum, Kikkawa Museum of Historical Archives and Kashiwabara Art Museum

Iwakuni City’s Flame Lighting Ceremony for Paralympic

Date/Time: Aug.12 (Thu),  16:30-19:20

Place: Riverbed under Kintaikyo Bridge and near Kinjyokyo bridge

Content: Viewing of Flame Lighting Ceremony (Entry to event venue is banned)

Labyrinth of light-Super Experiential Museum to Play with Light-

Date/Time: Aug.14 (Sat)-Sep.5 (Sun), 10:00-17:00 (Doors close at 16:30)

Place: Special Exhibition Hall, Sinfonia Iwakuni

Content: Super experiential Museum where the light follows your every movement.
