Entrance gate/open hours:
○ Pedestrians/Bicyclists=West Gate(former Contractors Gate) only 07:00-14:00
※ Different entrance gate from the one in normal year. No entry through Main Gate and C Gate.
※ It takes approx.25 min. from Iwakuni Sta. to West Gate and approx. another 30 min.
from West Gate to the event venue on foot.
※ Bicycles are to be parked at designated parking lot by railroad crossing in front of the Main Gate or the one aboard base.
※ The event venue is to be opened to public at 07:00.
Entry procedure:
○ Adult visitors are to bring picture IDs due to security reasons.
○ It is mandated to have a picture ID. Those without the picture ID may be banned from entering or subjected to time-consuming security check at the entrance gate.
○ It is also mandatory for non-Japanese nationals to produce a residence card or a passport at the entry gate and to fill out a simple questionnaire due to security reasons.
○ Bags are to be inspected at the entry gate. Please refrain from carrying a large bag to avoid time-consuming screening.
※ Dangerous items like knives, model guns and firecrackers, alcoholic beverages, radios and pets are not allowed to be brought in.
Temporary operation of Shuttle bus:
Every year in and around the base is going to be terribly crowded. It’s best to use a shuttle bus service from JR Iwakuni Sta. to the vicinity of event venue on base.
Service hours:
○ JR Iwakuni Sta.→On base 06:00-13:00
○ On base→JR Iwakuni Sta. 10:00-17:00
Fare: One-way:¥400 (1/2 for child)
※ No use of commuter’s ticket, transportation pass for the elderly, bus card or Paspy.
