Change of Entrance Point to Iwakuni Station West Gate Square and Traffic Manner

Efforts are underway to provide a compact intersection to prevent traffic accidents besides the renewal of the square in front of Iwakuni Station

Please be aware that there is going to be a change to the location of entrance to Iwakuni Station West Gate Square on Route-188 starting from the following date and time. 　Accordingly, the manner of traffic on surrounding streets will change as well. 

Date and time: Jan. 30 (Thu), 5:00 (tentative)

※ The entrance will be changed in the morning of Jan.30 (Thu) after the work through the night.

※ Date and time may change due to adverse weather. In such a case, an announcement will be made by an on-site signboard.

(1)Entrance to West Gate Square

Moves approx.100m towards the direction of Yanai and merges into the exit of West Gate Square.

(2)Route-188 (From the direction of Hiroshima)

Left-turn location will change.

(3)Route-188 (From the direction of Yanai)

Right-turn location will change.

(4) Pref. road けんどう

Accessible to Entrance to West Gate Square straight through the intersection

 

Iwakuni Lotus Root Harvesting Experience

Date and time: February 6 (Thu), 1:30p.m.-

※ Light-rain or shine event

Place: Ozu Lotus Root Field

※ Gather up at the main gate of Local Wholesale Market at 1p.m.

Capacity: 20 people (FCFS)

Fee: 1,500 yen

※ Harvested lotus root can be brought home.

What to bring: Boots, digging tools (Shellfish rake, etc.)
